@yazanapps
Hi, my name is Yazan Al Macki, and today I'll be taking over 2000 magazine stories. I'm 16 years old and I'm the person behind Yazan Apps. I currently have 4 apps published .on the App Store and Google Play
I really enjoyed computer science class in 9th grade, and so I decided to strive for further knowledge beyond the school course. One day I returned home and started reading about mobile game development. I did some research and soon began learning solely from online .resources
After 11 months of programming and learning, I launched my first app, a football game called 'Gulf Football'. The idea was heavily inspired by Oman's legendary triumph in the „Gulf Cup Despite it being by no means a great game, and has a lot of bugs, it still managed to round up 2000 installs between iOS and Android.
'Oman Run' is the second game I released, after finishing 10th grade. The idea behind the game wasn't revolutionary gameplay, but rather to release the very first Oman- themed mobile game. The game features virtually every attraction there is in Oman, and a selection of different Omani characters to choose from (drawn by the talented @hamdoozle).
The third app I made was 'Projectile Motion Simulator'. This is the only non-game app I've published. After learning about projectile motion in 11th grade physics class, I got the idea to make this app. Building this app was sort of a personal challenge to me, after realizing there weren't any free projectile motion simulator apps on the App Store.
'Finally, my fourth app: 'Arab Space Force This is the biggest project I've ever worked on, and .it was released just 2 weeks ago It is an Arab-themed shooter game set in outer .space You can find all my apps under the developer name "Yazan Apps" on Google Play, and under the name ."Nabil Al Macki" on the App Store
I'd like to thank 2000 magazine for giving me this opportunity to use their platform to showcase the apps I've made and the journey I took to get there.
