Hi everyone. I am al Reem al-Mahruqi, 14 years old. You might know me as alreembakes or maybe or maybe I’m new to you so hi! I love baking. I was always interested in it but I started baking about 2 years ago! Started with betty crockers mix to my own recipes. 

 

Baking for me is so relaxing. It's a safe place where I can be as creative as I want and be able to express myself! It's also so magical to witness the process. I bake cakes, cupcakes and sometimes other treats like brownies and cookies. I’ve really grown my baking skills during quarantine and found my own style which is floral! I just hope I bake this much when I close my summer business.

 

I opened my account to have a platform where I can track my progress as well as showcase my cakes! Another reason is that I wanted to join the amazing baking community on instagram which is filled with supportive and sweet bakers of all levels. I made so many new friends on this account and grew an incredible audience for when I open/start my business in the future. 

 

I started my small summer business a month ago and everyone was so supportive, my family, friends and people I don’t even know that well!! As a teen who started a business it has been really good for me since I’ve occupied  my free time by doing what I love!
